The National EDSA Organization has found that participating EDSA members in grades 5 to 12 are challenged to develop critical thinking and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork, and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement through our Leadership and Career Development Events. Our events occur at the local, state, and national levels.

Career Development Events

EDSA members have the opportunity to participate in Career Development Events at the local, state, and national level each year. These events are designed to allow students to put what they learn in the classroom to use in a hands-on environment that serves as an extention of the classroom. Events range from job interview and public speaking events to mechanics and science related events.

Business Sales

Students work as a team to collaboratively build a sales plan and demonstrate skills in customer relations.

Our brand new Leadership Development Events category is a series of events and competitions allow members to improve their speaking and time management skills. Just like the Career Development Event category, members are able to compete at the local, state, and national levels.

Career Issues Forum

Participants research the pros and cons of a career related issue and present their findings to a panel of judges.
